Broadcast Schedule
The Voice of Mongolia, an external service of Mongolian National Public Radio started in 1964. It now broadcasts in five languages for audiences in Asia, Australia and Europe.
Using short-wave, the Voice of Mongolia presents half an hour transmissions on a daily basis, giving home news and various programs designed to provide information about Mongolia and the Mongolians, their history, traditions and customs. It also plays folk and modern Mongolian music.
Some short-wave broadcasts may also be heard outside the target area; for instance, listeners in the American continents may pick up our signal beamed to East Asia and Europe; the South Asian broadcasts may be heard in South Africa. However, this reception is influenced by propagation conditions and frequency congestion.
All times is Universal Time (UTC), which is equivalent to GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). Frequencies are in kilohertz (kHz). Frequency is short-wave (SW) expect 12085 kHz, which is medium wave (MW). Some frequencies may change.
